The Evaluation Process
The technique used is Applied Kinesiology, also known as Muscle Response Testing (MRT) or Neuromuscular Sensitivity Testing (NST). This entails muscle testing using the energy flows of the acupuncture meridians. It involves measuring muscle strength whilst in the presence of an allergen. The process is non-invasive, safe, comfortable and versatile.
- This is a simple process where you will be required to lie on your back on the treatment couch, whilst you are fully clothed.
- The allergen sample is a specially formulated liquid solution contained in a hermetically sealed glass vial. This is held in one hand while the opposite arm is raised to a 90° angle.
- As you hold each vial, your muscle strength will either provide a strong or weak response. A weak response indicates an imbalance in the body. This imbalance may be at a physical, physiological or emotional level (or a combination of each level).
What are the benefits of this evaluation method?
Applied Kinesiology has the following advantages:
The patient is fully involved
The process is simple and repeatable
The results are produced immediately
Suitable for all ages
including babies and the elderly via a surrogate
Versatile, comfortable, safe and non-invasive
The specific treatment needs of the patient at that time can be identified and prioritised
The need for specific supplements can be identified and recommended
Also suitable for animals via a surrogate
The NAET® Energy Balancing Procedure (EBP)
- You will be required to lie on your front and hold the vial in one hand whilst pressure points either side of the spine are stimulated.
- You will then need to lie on your back again and your muscle strength for that allergen will be re-evaluated. Once a strong muscle response is given you will need to rest for around 20 minutes in the presence of the allergen.
- The allergen will be re-evaluated at your next appointment, before further evaluation and NAET® EBP is carried out.
- NAET® EBP should be applied to 17 basic allergens in a specific sequence in order to maximize the benefits. Subsequent allergens can be prioritised according to your specific needs at that time.
Appointments
I often see clients who are at the end of their tether, with a weariness about them. Ideally I would like to see you before this weakened state although if you are in either, I would like to help you.
Should you require an urgent appointment, please book the next available appointment and ask me to put your name on the waiting list so that I can let you know if an appointment becomes available sooner.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge, up until 24 hours before your appointment time. Thereafter the full fee will be payable.

What is an Allergy?
An Allergy is defined as ‘an inappropriate response to a benign substance’.
When the body is stressed it can become unbalanced and histamine levels can rise and this means that our sensitivity level to a substance becomes increased. In this state the immune system becomes reactive and it can feel like you are allergic to a number of things. For example, such a response can be triggered by inhalants, ingestant, contactant, injectant, infectant, physical agents, genetic factors, emotional factors.
So by evaluating and applying the Energy Balancing Procedure to the allergens one at a time, your body can have the chance to re-balance itself and function more efficiently.

How does NAET® work?
How many appointments will I need and how often?
The amount of sessions that you actually have and the frequency is entirely up to each individual. Each individual is unique and each body has their own specific requirements, so recommendations are made as a result of the findings from asking the appropriate questions using Applied Kinesiology. However, the decision is yours.
The Energy Balancing Procedure is applied to one allergen at a time. If you are not severely immune deficient you may need just one session to desensitize one allergen. A person with mild to moderate amount of allergies may take about 15-20 appointments to desensitize 15-20 food and environmental allergens.
NAET® is a series of sessions. Clients often attend on a weekly basis to start with. However, if for some reason you take a break from the recommended schedule, we just pick up from where you left off.
When will I see an improvement?
Most clients will begin to see improvements after a few sessions. Occasionally, clients will start to see improvement after the very first session. Be patient. Often clients have been suffering for years, so it will take time for the body to readjust to its new balance.
Can you help with specific symptoms?
I do not claim to diagnose, treat or alleviate specific symptoms or medical conditions. Every person is unique, so it is possible that there could be two clients with exactly the same symptoms written on paper, although they will both receive different benefits to the process that is carried out. However, I can discuss the therapies that I do offer and how the therapies are carried out. So I urge you to book a FREE 20-minute telephone discussion to find out more.
Who is NAET® for?
NAET® can be beneficial for almost everyone! That is people of all age groups and the NAET® Evaluation and Energy Balancing Procedure can be adapted for animals too. Everyone is different and each person will have their own individual experience of how NAET® benefits them.
Does NAET® work for everyone?
There is no ‘one size fits all’ and there is nothing that works for everyone.
However, please see my reviews on my Facebook page and on Google.
What are the 17 basic allergens?
- BBF (Brain-Body Balancing Formula).
- Egg Mix
- Calcium Mix
- Vitamin C Mix
- B Complex Mix
- Sugar Mix
- Iron Mix
- Vitamin A Mix
- Mineral Mix
- Salt Mix
- Grain Mix
- Yeast Mix
- Stomach Acid
- Base (Digestive Juices from Intestinal Tracts)
- Hormones
- Vitamin K
- Organ Mix
Am I required to avoid the allergen for a period of time after my appointment?
There is usually a 25 hour avoidance period and this will be evaluated at the end of each session.
What is a surrogate?
The process is not carried out on the actual patient but on another person (the surrogate). The NAET® Evaluation Process and Energy Balancing Procedure is carried out on the surrogate and the energy passes through to the patient, meaning that the patient still receives the benefit of the Energy Balancing Procedure as the surrogate is acting as a conduit. Therefore, for example, using a surrogate is a suitable option for young children and pets.
Am I required to have any blood tests?
No. However, it is a requirement that you can produce evidence of your total IgE before your first NAET® session. This will help me to identify how severe your allergies are and whether the services that I offer are right for you. However, this measure is in place as an additional precaution to essentially ensure your safety during the process.
If appropriate, I may also ask you to produce new evidence of your total IgE again after 20 NAET® sessions although this is optional.
Your total IgE (Immunoglobulin E) level helps to identify your level of sensitivity should you experience an allergic reaction. Generally the higher the IgE level, the greater the sensitivity.
How can I obtain evidence of total IgE?
Your Doctor may have carried out a blood test at some stage to monitor your total IgE. Therefore, please ask your Doctor to produce this information.
If you have not previously had an IgE blood test, please speak to your Doctor about this.
However, if you would prefer to have an IgE blood test carried out privately, I can recommend a Phlebotomist locally or organise a home test kit for you.
Do you have disabled access at your premises?
Unfortunately, there is not disabled access as my home clinic is upstairs. However, please do get in touch with me as I may be able to recommend another suitable practitioner for you.
